As far back as I can remember, fictional stories have been a part of my life. In some way I managed to bond with subjects that only existed in my imagination. Particular themes moved me, as I understood the symbolism of certain imagery and events that took place. In time, I began noticing a Christian perspective within the stories. With each piece of art I create, I interact with characters from different worlds grasping a higher understanding of what they are attempting to tell us. By using colored pencil, I paint with a texture where the rendering remains visible in the art. As my portfolio grows, I leave behind detailed descriptions from past acquaintances. Overall, my interpretations of these subjects preserve the heart of these stories for what they once symbolized and how they resemble our cultures today. Best Wishes- Ben Colossians 3:23 About Ben Curtis Jones- Ben is a licensed film artist for a number of different studios including Disney, Lucasfilm, Fox, Warner Brothers, and others. His work can be purchased in galleries throughout the world as both paper and canvas limited editions. Studios began publishing Ben's imagery after noticing how "life like" his renderings were in person. Ben's inventive approach to film art has enabled viewers to have a much more personal relationship with the subjects they've admired throughout their lives. While "Preservation" is the main theme to Ben's work, he explains that capturing the life of the subject takes more than just a photo-real image, it requires a description of their being. |
